https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/253

In today’s day and age, it is undoubtedly the case that the process by which food is manufactured, processed, and delivered is due to the transformation of Industry 4.0. The study aims to explore how Industry 4.0 and AI technologies can be integrated into and foster the agricultural food supply chain. For the methodology, a qualitative approach was conducted through a systematic literature review, using reliable scientific databases such as ScienceDirect, Scopus, and ResearchGate. The finding reveals that technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, and Blockchain play a pivotal role in enhancing the agri-food supply chain. Those innovations promote traceability, food safety, and demand forecasting while also maintaining sustainability through waste reduction and resource optimization. However, factors such as high costs, limited digital infrastructure, and skill gaps remain challenges to the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies in some regions.
Vo Le Bao TranNguyen Bao Nguyen

https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/258

This paper investigates on the satisfaction of international tourists visiting Nosy Be and its impact on resource and development. The research method involves the tourist satisfaction concept and impact factor in addition to tourism island destination. Specific problems associated with quantitative approaches to measuring satisfaction were overcome. In order to achieve the objective, the present research work employs primary data mainly collected from more than 200 international tourists by using a specific questionnaire. To analyze the collected data, SPSS software was adopted and techniques such as descriptive statistics and correlation analysis were used. It is approved that satisfied tourists tend to communicate their positive experiences to others recommendation and they tend to buy the product repeatedly. Relevant analytical studies showed a positive correlation between recommended locations, willingness to share social network experiences and overall satisfaction. Descriptive statistical analysis showed that different demographic characteristics as origin, gender, age and employment visitors were accounted. 70% of tourists will stay in Nosy Be for more than a week and 56.5% come with friends or classmates. According to the current research results, combined with the tourism practice of Nosy Be Island, the factors affecting the satisfaction of tourists, and the follow-up behavior brought by the satisfaction of their services are clarified. The tourist loyalty behavior is identified in order to maintain tourism sustainability in Nosy Be Island destination. The research outcomes indicate the attributes that affect tourist satisfaction such as service quality, facilities, and destination image.
Marie Berthina SambimiasaChai HaiyanHenri Joël Jao

https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/261

As schools face growing energy demand under constrained budgets, accurate energy forecasting using Machine Learning has become crucial for improving efficiency and planning targeted energy management strategies. This review examines studies that apply ML techniques in forecasting school and campus energy demands. Based on the methodology of these works, a generalized forecasting framework is proposed, which detailedly outlines: data preprocessing, feature selection, model selection, and implementation of results to guide implementation. Across studies, historical load, weather conditions, occupancy and building attributes are among the most reliable predictors of energy demand. Advanced models such as hybrid LSTM architectures or ensemble approaches generally achieve higher accuracy but require a larger complete dataset, increased computational costs and intensive hyperparameter tuning which limits their feasibility in resource-limited school settings. Simpler and more interpretable alternatives such as MLR often offer sufficient accuracy for schools with limited data availability and resources. Future studies should focus on addressing existing gaps by ensuring transparency and consistency in data and methodological reporting.
Thu Pham

https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/257

This study focuses on the behavioral disposition of households to responsible consumption and disposal of waste products, before, during, and after the COVID-19 lockdown in Portugal. Among the challenges facing the world before the pandemic, there were the issues of air pollution and environmental degradation emanating from improper waste disposal and recyclable products. This became a threat to sustainable smart cities and urbanization hence it was included among the concerns of the United Nations (UN) for Sustainable Developmental Goals (SDGs), the goals Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG-11), and Sustainable Consumption and Production (SDG-12). Consequently, there is an urgency in increasing the recycling of materials and reducing the differentiated waste in landfills. In Portugal, there have been campaigns for reasonable recycling of wastes by families long before the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. As traumatic events typically enable behavioral adjustments, this paper makes comparative studies of municipalities’ contributions to domestic wastes disposal management in pre-; during, and post-COVID-19 lockdown, and their direct consequences on the environment; with possible ways to motivate positive enthusiasm for proper waste disposal in order to enhance sustainable smart cities.
Ajibike Eunice Akin-PonnleRaquel Castro MadureiraMarlene Amorim

https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/259

Nowadays, due to the communication technology revolution and transportation system development, more and more visitors are internationally willing to discover exotic Island and less known destinations as Nosy Be. However, compared to most of Pacific and Caribbean ones, few information and research work are available about the tourism aspect in this Island. An innovative research survey on the Nosy Be Island international tourists marketing evolution never being done before is investigated in the present paper. The developed study was performed from a random and voluntary survey of Nosy Be traveler foreigner and Malagasy citizen visitors. Doing this, first, the unique culture, geographic, historic, economic, wonderful climate, beautiful landscape and environmental situations of the under-study Island are described. Since the target population is domestic and international visitors to Nosy Be, the bilingual questionnaire was designed. As research work outcome, it was emphasized that during the last three decade, tourists select Nosy Be as destination mostly because the Island authenticity, nature, blue space, sand, fresh air, relax, leisure, sports or adventure activities. Some internal strengths and weaknesses of the destination can have positive or negative effect to the international tourist attraction. The performed study helps the Nosy Be local authorities to improve the quality of tourism products. A useful background in the planning of tourist marketing strategies can be designed. Thus, the economy competitiveness in the global travel market can be enhanced to make Nosy Be as a top-class sustainable international destination.
Marie Berthina SambimiasaChai HaiyanHenri Joël Jao
