It is worth noting, however, that gender inequality still exists, as women, in addition to receiving lower wages than men, still have their capacity tested within organizations, either due to the risk of pregnancy and/or a greater sense of responsibility within the home. The present study aims to identify the challenges faced in the accounting area by women in the city of Sousa-PB. To this end, a questionnaire was made on Google Forms and made available to respondents through a link sent by email and WhatsApp to undergraduate students at the Federal University of Campina Grande, Campus Sousa, of the Accounting Sciences course, as well as for women accountants registered with the CRC, in that municipality. The main results of the research denote the entrepreneurial characteristics present in the welcomed public, which found that the majority of this public, in its entirety female, has a potential entrepreneurial profile, in addition to concluding that women have total prominence as an agent of transformation of society.
Lourena de Oliveira Pordeus, Janaina Ferreira Marques de Melo, Cristiane Queiroz Reis Copyright (c) 2024 REVISTA INTERDISCIPLINAR E DO MEIO AMBIENTE (RIMA) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/215 qui, 04 abr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 THIRD SECTOR: A case study on the application of accounting in a non-profit organization https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/217
This work presents a study in a third sector organization that works with issues that raise awareness in society; Therefore, its main objective was to analyze the application of the accounting procedures adopted to comply with its obligations. To obtain and analyze the data, a descriptive case study with a qualitative approach was carried out. As a data collection instrument, an interview script containing 23 open questions was used, being applied in an institution focused on the rehabilitation of drug addicts, legal and illicit. Regarding the result, it was possible to see that the use of accounting procedures and tools is extremely relevant for third sector organizations, as accounting is considered one of the main instruments, applied for transparency and accountability with society and its taxpayers.
Catarina Meneses Ferreira, Cristiane Queiroz Reis Copyright (c) 2024 REVISTA INTERDISCIPLINAR E DO MEIO AMBIENTE (RIMA) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/217 qui, 04 abr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 The role of the designer in mitigating environmental impacts: Building a sustainable future https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/219
This research discusses the ecological crisis and the importance of designers in mitigating environmental effects, highlighting the need to re-evaluate our production methods and systems to help conserve natural resources. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to investigate the role and contribution of design in reducing the environmental effects resulting from the current ecological crisis. To this end, research instruments were used such as the systematic review of academic literature related to sustainable design and bibliometric research with Oasisbr, Scielo and BDTD databases, with a time frame of the years 2020 - 2023. This review will cover studies, relevant theories and practices in the field under study, highlighting the main current trends and challenges. Regarding the results, this research presents some definitions of the main themes covered in the studies, revealing which aspects of the designer's role in mitigating environmental impacts are most discussed in the literature. Finally, it can be concluded that the environmental crisis is a global challenge that requires immediate and effective actions to preserve natural resources, in this sense the role of the designer is crucial in mitigating environmental impacts through innovation in sustainable materials and practices, selection of raw materials, choice of technologies and adoption of new production models, all of these actions have a considerable influence on both the environment and the final cost of the product, highlighting the need for sustainable practices to minimize environmental damage and maintain economic viability.
Thiego Barros de Almeida Brandão, Denecler Rodrigues da Silva Copyright (c) 2024 REVISTA INTERDISCIPLINAR E DO MEIO AMBIENTE (RIMA) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/219 qui, 04 abr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Correlation between waste generation, population and GDP of cities in Sergipe, Brazil https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/221
The problem of solid waste (garbage or rubble) is a global problem that affects the environment, public health, and the quality of life of people all over the world. In this work, a literature review and quantitative research were carried out on the websites of the Institute of Water and Sanitation and Dataviva of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, to collect the data needed to verify whether or not there is a correlation between population size, waste generation and gross domestic product (GDP) per capita. This work used the correlation coefficient, which is widely used to measure the relationships between variables and what they represent, and is important for drawing up overviews in studies with many related variables so that it is possible to understand how the variability of one affects the other. The results show that population size and per capita waste generation showed a weak positive correlation and GDP per capita and per capita waste generation showed a very weak negative correlation. It can be concluded that economic and population aspects can influence the total volume of waste generated, but that they did not emerge as determining factors in isolation, showing that different populations (in terms of age structure, household arrangement structure, and cultural habits, among others) practice different consumption patterns, generating different amounts of solid waste.
Carlos Gomes da Silva Júnior, Zacarias Caetano Vieira, Eliglesia Maria Caldas dos Santos , Wanderson Lucas dos Santos Barros, Alejandro Luis Machado Hussain Copyright (c) 2024 REVISTA INTERDISCIPLINAR E DO MEIO AMBIENTE (RIMA) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/221 qui, 04 abr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Analysis of the cavitation phenomenon: A case study in the drainage channel of the Aruana neighborhood located in the city of Aracaju-SE https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/223
Drainage channels are intended for the drainage of surface water and watercourses. Having a high construction cost, over time they present pathologies requiring inspection and maintenance. Among these pathologies, we can mention the wearing caused by cavitation. Given the above, this research aims to carry out a visual survey, and subsequent analysis, of the occurrences of wearing by cavitation in a drainage channel, in the neighborhood of Aruana, city of Aracaju-SE. First, a visual survey was achieved to assess the situation of the structure; Then, an analysis was performed through the registration of images and a bibliographic survey of the main causes and consequences of this phenomenon. It was possible to verify the occurrence of cavitation wear next to the culverts, on the side walls of the channel, and more intensely, at the junction of the rainwater galleries with the channel. It is concluded that, in many points, the pathology is at an advanced level, requiring urgent intervention; the intervention prevents the evolution of pathologies; the cost of repairs at an advanced stage is high, justifying the importance of periodic maintenance and correction at an early stage; And finally, problems can be avoided or mitigated in the design phase, with the use of better quality materials, and with constant inspections of the structure.
Ana Paula Cardoso Melo Barreto, Misael Santana Silva, Vitória Elisabeth de Oliveira Santos, Zacarias Caetano Vieira Copyright (c) 2024 REVISTA INTERDISCIPLINAR E DO MEIO AMBIENTE (RIMA) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/223 qui, 04 abr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Application of the SMAP monthly model to the Piauitinga river basin located in the State of Sergipe, Brazil https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/225
The generation of flow data allows the assessment of the capacity to meet water demands, predict floods, and estimate the potential for hydraulic exploitation for electrical energy generation. In Brazil, precipitation data series, due to their ease of measurement, are more extensive compared to flow data series, enabling the use of hydrological models called rainfall-runoff models capable of estimating flows from precipitation data. Therefore, utilizing the Brazil Gridded Meteorological Data (BR-DWGD) database, this study aims to generate, calibrate, and validate flow data for the Piauitinga river basin located in the state of Sergipe, Brazil, using the monthly rainfall-runoff SMAP model. The soil parameters considered in the validation for the studied region showed a good fit to the observed data, achieving a Nash-Sutcliffe (NS) of 84% and log-Nash-Sutcliffe (NSLog) of 85% in calibration, and Nash-Sutcliffe (NS) of 70% and a log-Nash-Sutcliffe (NSLog) of 80% in validation. Therefore, since the rainfall-runoff model used exhibited good performance for the studied hydrographic basin, it becomes feasible to use the generated synthetic series to fill possible gaps in the historical series of monthly average flows.
Ronaldo Guilherme Santos Lima, Ana Lara Araújo Santos, Hellen Karine Sales dos Santos , Izaias Rodrigues de Souza Neto , José Ítalo Porto Siqueira Copyright (c) 2024 REVISTA INTERDISCIPLINAR E DO MEIO AMBIENTE (RIMA) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/225 qui, 04 abr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Expansion analysis of urban microdrainage in Sergipe cities https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/227
We aim to explore the criteria surrounding urban microdrainage, as well as analyze its expansion in the state of Sergipe. Not only do these endeavors generate employment, but they also contribute to an enhancement of food security for the Brazilian population. Therefore, the overall objective of this study is to substantiate the real importance of the small producer and to investigate the primary causes that hinder their access to credit lines, thereby impeding the progression of regional agriculture. The significance of the small producer arises from their role in supplying a larger portion of the national territory with food. Additionally, they produce food free from harmful chemical processes that pose risks to public health, while also significantly reducing environmental degradation compared to the methods employed in large-scale agricultural productions. Regarding the methodological procedures, the research is explanatory, aiming to elucidate the causes that make credit access challenging. Both primary and secondary sources were used. The research can also be considered quantitative, as it involved the analysis of a phenomenon through statistical and theoretical data. In terms of results, a greater difficulty in accessing rural credit lines by small producers was observed. In addition, it has reinforced the search for renewable energy sources, emphasizing solar energy, as a sustainable alternative to meet energy demand, especially in Brazil, due to its potential for solar radiation. Public buildings, in particular schools, are identified as significant consumers of electricity, and it is pointed out that the high consumption is not only due to excessive use by consumers, but also to the intensive use of artificial lighting and conditioners of air. As it is an extensive country with high solar irradiation, there is, so, an alternative to reduce environmental impacts. The study area involved 310 schools in Sergipe, and the consumption of electricity was obtained from the website of the Sergipe Department of Education. To simulate the deployment of solar panels, the NEOSOLAR online calculator was used along with the energy tariff, providing information on average investment, and estimated monthly savings. The payback period was calculated using the Simple Payback Method for each school individually. The payback period for all schools was less than 10 years. Thus, it is concluded that the use of solar energy in these establishments proved to be an economically, socially, and environmentally viable practice.
Misael Santana Silva, Renata Souza Vieira , Yasmim Sales Oliveira , Zacarias Caetano Vieira Copyright (c) 2024 REVISTA INTERDISCIPLINAR E DO MEIO AMBIENTE (RIMA) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/220 qui, 04 abr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Impacts of clandestine sewage connections on drainage channels in Aracaju-SE https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/222
Basic sanitation is extremely important for people's quality of life. Given this scenario, the main purpose of this paper is to report on the development of a prototype for irrigation, using low-cost technology based on the Arduino UNO R3 tool to monitor water control at specific times. The research has a qualitative-quantitative approach and was validated in a residence in the city of Castanhal, located in the northeastern region of the state of Pará, Brazil. The materials used to make the prototype were the Arduino model UNO R3, RTC module, solenoid valve, relay module, hoses, and sprinklers. The code developed was programmed in the C++ language, with the first test applied at 09h and the second at 16h, with an interval of 10 seconds. The results obtained from the tests showed that the prototype developed has a good ability to control water for irrigation, being turned on and off at the programmed times. It was also possible to see a high level of efficiency in the use of the Arduino UNO R3 prototyping board, as well as effective communication between the components used, demonstrating that technological tools are important for the management and control of water resources. Therefore, it is possible to conclude that the objective proposed in the project was achieved, since the use of Arduino enabled the creation of a prototype for irrigation, with efficiency for controlling water waste.
Ayla Marinho da Silva, Akaz Marinho da Silva, Yomara Pinheiro Pires Copyright (c) 2024 REVISTA INTERDISCIPLINAR E DO MEIO AMBIENTE (RIMA) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/224 qui, 04 abr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Analysis of the micro-drainage infrastructure on an avenue in the city of Aracaju-SE https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/226
The urban drainage system plays a vital role in the lives of people living in urban areas, protecting properties and citizens during heavy rainfall, preventing erosion on streets and public roads, and other benefits. To create an efficient drainage system, attention must be paid to the design, execution, and supervision of works by qualified professionals, as well as the maintenance of existing works. Because of the above, this article aims to analyze the micro-drainage infrastructure of Avenida Edélzio Vieira de Melo, in the city of Aracaju-SE. Initially, an in loco visit was made to assess the state of conservation and the presence of waste in the gutters and gutter inlet. It was observed that 51.2% of the gutter inlets are located in an undesirable way; 60.5% are partially or totally degraded and 81.4% have solid waste disposal. About the manholes, 90% are inadequately located, 80% are partially or totally degraded, and, finally, 70% are level with the sidewalk. The conclusion is that the devices need to be cleaned more frequently, and the population needs to be made more aware not to throw garbage in the street, since the presence of solid waste negatively affects the functioning of the drainage network. Finally, the location of the devices (manholes and gutter inlets) affects their efficiency, and durability and interferes with the comfort of those who use the road.
Sarah Rolemberg da Silva Ramos, Carla Suellen Alves Santos , Carlos Gomes da Silva Júnior , Zacarias Caetano Vieira Copyright (c) 2024 REVISTA INTERDISCIPLINAR E DO MEIO AMBIENTE (RIMA) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/226 qui, 04 abr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Simulation of the use of rainwater in two schools in the public municipal education network in Aracaju-SE https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/228
With an increasing frequency periods of intense water scarcity are recorded in various parts of the planet. A measure that can be very efficient, is using rainwater, preserving potable water for use where it is needed, and contributing to the fight against urban floods. Considering the foregoing, this article aims to capture’s simulation and use of rainwater in two schools of the public municipal education network of Aracaju-SE, through the estimation of non-potable demand, estimation of the catchable volume, verification of the attendance of the estimated non-potable use and the impact of this action on the urban drainage system. Based on the roof area and the average’s data of precipitation, the volume of water captured by the roof was calculated, and finally, a demand for non-potable use was estimated, verifying if this demand is attended, in addition, the impact generated on the local urban drainage system was analyzed. The results indicate that: a) The Oviedo Teixeira School had an average demand of 258 m³, an average catchable volume of 326 m³ and an average reduction of 66% in the volume thrown into the drainage; b) The Anísio Teixeira School had an average demand of 60 m³, an average catchable volume of 140 m³, and an average reduction of 53% in the volume thrown into drainage. It is concluded that rainwater totally meets the estimated demand and rainwater harvesting positively impact on the drainage system, if used on a large scale.
Leandro de Assis Ferreira, Zacarias Caetano Vieira, Ana Paula Cardoso Melo Barreto, Maria Heloisa Santos de Souza, Sarah Rolemberg da Silva Ramos Copyright (c) 2024 REVISTA INTERDISCIPLINAR E DO MEIO AMBIENTE (RIMA) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/228 qui, 04 abr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 The role of the new institutional sociology in implementing the environmental agenda https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/230
The new institutional Sociology declares that organizations, whether public or private, are influenced by norms, customs and beliefs institutionalized in their structure. Therefore, it is possible to infer that these factors can also influence organizations' actions regarding the environment and sustainability. Based on this understanding, we sought to investigate the role of the new institutional Sociology in the implementation of the environmental agenda. Given the purpose of this work, it is possible to classify it as bibliographic and exploratory in nature. Scientific articles, books, reports and other secondary data of national and international origin were used as theoretical support for the research. In the context of the environmental agenda, institutions can materialize in the form of laws, regulations, public policies, positioning of the professional class, behavior of successful organizations, consumer preferences and many other factors. It was noticed that institutions pressure organizations to develop sustainable practices and these, in turn, enable environmental conservation without necessarily impeding economic development. It was also possible to identify that the pressures felt by organizations to adopt similar environmental practices are explained through the phenomenon understood as institutional isomorphism. This occurs in three ways: coercive; mimetic and normative. Furthermore, this study allowed us to understand the levels of implementation of an environmental agenda. However, it was observed that agendas can be implemented at global, national and local levels. And, the adoption of environmentally sustainable practices in organizations is motivated, above all, by the need to legitimize organizations.
Luis de Macêdo Neto, Isabel Lausanne Fontgalland Copyright (c) 2024 REVISTA INTERDISCIPLINAR E DO MEIO AMBIENTE (RIMA) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/230 qui, 04 abr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Aggressive behaviors and oppositional defiant disorder: An analysis of the relationship between aggressive behaviors in childhood https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/232
Child development is a period of learning processes, which is why dysfunctional behaviors are common. However, these behaviors may exist situationally or, depending on their persistence, may constitute oppositional defiant disorder. The aim of this article was to carry out a systematic review of studies focusing on certain aggressive behaviors in childhood and the possibility of a relationship with the diagnosis of ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder), seeking to identify their causes and repercussions from early diagnosis. The search for articles was carried out in the Scielo; Lilacs; BVS databases during the months of March to May, using the terms: "Oppositional Defiant Disorder", "Childhood", "Aggressiveness" and "Behavior". Thus, this is a systematic review of the literature of an exploratory and descriptive nature in the year 2023. The final database included in the analysis consisted of 7 articles published from 2019 to 2023. However, the selected studies show a clear relationship between the influence of context on the development of oppositional defiant disorder in childhood, so children who develop in environments with aggressive communication tend to be more likely to be diagnosed with ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder).
Emilly Marques Sousa , Maria Aparecida Ferreira Menezes Suassuna, Fernanda Lúcia Pereira Costa, Hilana Maria Braga Fernandes Abreu Copyright (c) 2024 REVISTA INTERDISCIPLINAR E DO MEIO AMBIENTE (RIMA) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/232 qui, 04 abr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Nutritional and lifestyle procedures to reduce symptoms associated with dysbiosis in women https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/234
The main objective of this research is to evaluate the impact of food and nutritional education strategies on symptoms associated with intestinal dysbiosis in women. For the methodological search, a qualitative research approach was conducted, of the integrative literature review type. Data collection took place in scientific databases: LILACS and PUBMED. The results obtained suggest that food and nutritional education plays a crucial role in modulating the intestinal microbiota. Nutritional education strategies can provide women with information about how to choose foods rich in fiber, prebiotics and probiotics, which promote intestinal health. Nutritional guidance can help women avoid processed foods high in sugar and saturated fat, which are known to harm the microbiota. However, adopting a balanced and healthy diet, under the supervision of healthcare professionals, can be an effective tool in improving symptoms associated with intestinal dysbiosis in women.
Cleidedaia de Souza Ferreira, Leilane Tainara Tavares de Brito, Gisele Marques Albuquerque, Jallyne Nunes Vieira Jallyne Nunes Vieira, Rayanne de Araújo Torres Copyright (c) 2024 REVISTA INTERDISCIPLINAR E DO MEIO AMBIENTE (RIMA) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/234 qui, 04 abr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Technology and sexual abuse - The role of technology in facilitating child and adolescent sexual abuse: A systematic review https://caroa.org.br/revista/index.php/rima/article/view/236
Child and adolescent sexual abuse is a reality that affects countless children and adolescents, harming and violating the physical, emotional and psychological integrity of the victims.
